Pushing Hands UK 2011
My name is Adrian Murray and I have been practicing Tai Chi and the like since 1978. I am a keen attendee
of Serge Dreyer’s ‘Rencontres Jasnières’ pushing hands event and I have felt the lack of a similar event in the
UK. Seeing that no one else has taken up the task, I have determined to do it myself!
I am interested in Pushing Hands UK being nonpartisan and attractive to all interested in pushing hands, so
rather than being ‘my’ event I see myself as the ‘host’ for the event.
Last year we were joined by Serge Dreyer, Andrew Heckert and Ronnie Robinson who all generously delivered workshops. We I’m very happy that we will be joined again by Andrew Heckert with whom many of you very much enjoyed working in 2010. This year I am very pleased to announce both Laura Stone and Daan Hengst responded positively to my invitation to join us. We can look forward to another excellent set of workshops to suppliment & inform the free pushing.
I very much hope that many Tai Chi players will take an interest in the event and come to meet and practice with like minded folk.
The University of Worcester as a good nationally accessible venue close to major road networks and transport.
